Every year some 1,8 billion metric tons of chemicals/pesticides are poisoning our global food.
Everywhere the global food crisis is now being "addressed" with genetically modified food that needs "less" pesticides, algicides, herbicides, fungicides and fertilisers because all of these chemicals will no longer be available when oil has been depleted in about fifty years from now.
In the Netherlands about 6,000 kilograms of chemicals are used for every hectare of arable land. In Britain it is 3205 kilograms per hectare. In France and Germany about 2354 kilograms per hectare. In the USA about 1011 kilos per hectare. In Brazil 608 kilograms per hectare. In Argentina 78 kilograms per hectare.
It is self-evident that human over-population is directly related to the excessive amount of chemicals used to produce food on ever smaller arable landspace.
